The smartwatch is also claimed to have a 470mAh battery that could last longer than the Gear S3 battery that had a capacity of 380mAh. The tipster behind popular Twitter account Ice Universe has claimed that the Gear S4, which could debut as the Galaxy Watch, will come with Wear OS and support UX interaction. Previously, a report from South Korea claimed that Samsung is preferring an application processor built using Panel Level Packaging (PLP) to offer the Gear S4 with a thinner profile and a cheaper price over its predecessor. The next smartwatch by Samsung is also said to offer UX interaction that might replace the original rotating bezel experience that debuted on the Gear S2 back in January 2016. This is unlike the Gear S3 that was launched last year with Samsung's Tizen OS.
The upcoming wearable that is rumoured to debut alongside the next-generation Galaxy Note model is said to run Google's Wear OS. After some massive leaks of the Galaxy Note 9, it's time for the Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch.
